Pacific Grove hails itself as the Last Great American Hometown. A sense of community is emphasized in this area of the Peninsula, at the southern tip of the Monterey Bay. Sea breezes keep the area cooler than more inland neighborhoods and residents enjoy an abundance of tree-lined streets, green spaces and exemplary schools. Originally founded by a Methodist church as a retreat. Many of the homes still occupy the tent sized lots, while others have commanding views of the ocean and city lights; regardless, all share the love of the ocean.
